Okay my hubby and I decided to name our boy Seth Michael, and our girl Alicen Faith, but the only problem is i don't want the traditonal Faith, I want something a little different spelling. Anyone know any cute ways to spell it?

I think Faith is the only cute way to spell it. I think it makes the parents look uneducated when they spell the names weird. The child will always have their name misspelled and mispronounced. You did good with Seth Michael. Why not just name your daughter Allison Faith. That's pretty.

I personally think Faith is a beautiful word, in the sound of it, the meaning of it and the simple aesthetics of the written word.

And it took me a minute to realize that Alicen is meant to be said like Allison. At first glance it looked like a derivative of Alicia and I was trying to pronounce it as such until I realized "Oh! Allison!". I think people might get confused and say "Al-eese-en" often. And trust me, from a girl with one of those names that can be spelled 150 different ways, it is very frustrating to have to spell your name out to people all the time, just to have them pronounce and spell it wrong anyway.

just my two cents.

Faith. Sorry ... can't say I would endorse purposefully misspelling an actual WORD. Faye, however, if sometimes used as a form of Faith (as a separate name, if can also mean "fairy"), and I do quite like that. Not exactly a "different" spelling, but still an alternative that might appeal.

Ps. Somehow I missed the first name there. LOL For what it's worth, while I like both Alice and Alison, there's really no reason to misspell it in this case. Alison is NOT one of the random masculine "son of" names currently trendy for girls, so I'm not sure why the -son has been changed. It looks like the many misguided attempts to somehow feminize Madison, Emerson, etc. by losing the literal -son suffix, but Alison doesn't actually mean that, so it seems very odd here. Just a thought, in case you thought it meant "son of Ali" or something. ;)

My 3 year old is Seth Michael ha!

I like only Allison Faith

when the trend wears off on all the 'creative' 'cool' ways to spell a name, the traditional way will be less common and cooler!

Alleysin Pheyth - no, not gonna do it.

Ok changing a spelling the wrong way DOES NOT MAKE IT SPECIAL NOR CUTE! It makes you seem like you cant spell and you're trying too hard to make a name "unique"

Allison Faith

I personally don't like changing spellings to the point that people really don't know what they are reading. I like the idea of being different. My sister in law named her son Tristian - See the added i - just because she didn't want people to shorten his name to Stan - Her daughters name is Alyssa - Yet she spelled it Alyissia- which to me does not say Alyssa. The name Faith is beautiful just the way it is

It's best the way it is.

Allison Faith is very pretty and sounds great together. (Alicen is not pretty at all.)

first you need to learn how to spell Allison. it's really nice to name a child something special, but when it comes to different spellings, it makes it incredibly difficult for that child to learn how to spell it or the teacher mispronounces it, and then that's where nicknames start.

Oh God. Please tell me you didn't put an EN on the end of Alice and think it's cute way to spell Allison. It looks bad and will make people think she can't spell her entire life.
