There are problems all over the world. You are complaining about people not helping out in a natural disaster but wanting to fix a racist issue. I have been in the army for a wile now and am now extended in Iraq when I am supposed to be home. There is supposed to be a constitution that I am fighting for and I want to see it put to good use. People have the right to protest they should not be scorned for it. Every thing possible was done for the people of Louisiana that I can think of. They are civilian it should have been handle by all military anyway. That is what we do not just kill people. Those are two problems and they both should be addressed neither should be ignored we are not a one track minded country. We have been handling multiple problems for years, now is no different. Please I ask you to help preserve all human rights set in the constitution and help those in need not just in Louisiana but all over the U.S and the world. That’s why I came to Iraq I wanted to help.

Well, I think the U.S.A. government is responsible for the safety and well being of people in New Orleans: government should supply basic needs (food, clothing, shelters, ex’),
then employment, health care and other public services.
Volunteers can do only so much (locally), but it’s not their duty to serve and provide to all the civilian down there.

I went to Jena this morning to survey the crowds. The average intelligence of the protesters gathered is somewhere between a cantaloupe and Corky from Life Goes On. Al Sharpton included.

Of course not because that would mean that they would have to do something other than complain and shout racism. The only people who are doing something in New Orleans and in South Louisiana are the people who do want to see change and have moved back.

Wait a minute; all this hubbub for the Jenna 6, but what happened to the three black stuydents that were murdered in NJ? Oh, wait; the murderer was an illegal alien and not a white guy, so they can't sue, claim a hate crime or use the race card.

What I wanna know is how did ALL these people get the day off do this!!? You can't tell me all their employers let them call in sick or take the day off.
And I assume they closed the school as well
Not to mention all the extra monies for law enforcement, FBI, toilets, food, the traffic it caused, etc..
Real productive eh?
This is gonna go on and on and on!!When this thug gets let out he is going to be held as a hero and get even more exposure on news networks.
Might I add that this event probably cost the tax payers 3x the amount to bail this idiot out.

Although irrelevant, I see your point. People join together to support a BULL s*it cause, but when our neighbors are in need of them, they are no where to be found. The people marching in Jena are I believe racist, and need to come to the conclusion that these kids need to be punished for their crime. If it was a bunch of white guys getting charged with attempted murder, would there be such chaos?

Lol It really hurts you white people that they are marching and protesting. Stop whining and using the race card all the time. Get over it, it's America they're allowed to protest. If you don't like it, oh well, stop posting hundreds of questions about this topic if you don't like it so much. Geesh!

The odds are NO.
They'd rather go with the sensationalism where they don't even have all the facts, rather than actually sweat and get dirty doing something worthwhile.
