He wants to keep you waiting in case his girlfriend and him don't work out.
That is my guess anyway. He may be confused and is having a hard time letting you go, completely.

Did he say he needed to be acquaintances? i know some men nonetheless call the old girlfriends and dangle out at the same time. perhaps he's attempting to assert i grow to be incorrect are you able to forgive me. stable good fortune
