Nothing really surprises me about that show anymore. I suspect this is just another publicity stunt to garner even higher ratings for the show. Reportedly, Rosie O'Donnell and Barry Manilow are good friends and they disagree with Elisabeth Hasselbeck. That's why he backed out of a scheduled appearance. He didn't want to be on the same stage with her. I personally have a hard time believing all this is true.

Also - I heard it wasn't Barry that backed out but actually The View who cancelled the interview because they didn't give in to guests "outrageous" demands. He was trying to save face.
