I am not exactly hooked. Yahoo for me is an outlet to share ideas with others without the fear of being judged by anyone.
This is precisely why we love it. But once you log onto yahoo answers more you'll realize that if you want there is nothing stopping you from having that same voice in real life.
To answer 20 questions in 2 days is a lot to me: i haven't even answered 100 yet. I put my time into trying to get the best answer.

For me, its about seeing what people are thinking. What's important to them? What do they ponder? How many other people think the way I do? How much do I differ from them. Sometimes I'll give advice, but rarely. What I would do in a given situation may end badly for someone else and I'd hate to be responsible for that. I do, however, give my opinion on manner different matters because I have a lot of different perspectives to draw from. I'm older but currently a college student. I'm a mother, a women and widowed so I can discuss matters relating to those things. I'm an avid reader, into archeology, egyptology, paleo-sciences, so I can add input on those subjects. All throughout time, we have been a species that survives because we DO share information. Maybe I just like helping us survive.

It's a way for the community to give and take. Everybody has things that they're good at, and everyone has things that they're not-so-good at. When it comes to math, I'm horrible at it and the community really helps me out with my school work. I'm great at giving relationship advice, dealing with mental health/medication for it, and I'm awesome with history so I love being able to help people with it.

I've been addicted since I started, I think it has a lot to do with a lot of things!! Part of it is being able to help those that need it and part of it is being able to talk openly, giving your opinions but it's also getting help when you need it too!!!
