Is the basis for your argument too weak to stand up to the facts I present? Is your hatred for a few politicians so great that you won't look at this article?
Or are you an open minded American that just doesn't understand why we are there? Many times I've given partial answers to the question of why we are there, but YA doesn't provide sufficient space to truly answer it.
My entire blog was created to help answer this, but my current article "Why Iraq is important to the World" attempts to put some of the most pertinent reasons in one article.
To those that refuse to accept my arguments, I ask only that you read them and provide reasonable counter arguments rather than merely spewing hatred with no basis in what I've said. I ask for adult debate rather than childish rants.

Kelly B: Thank you for at least reading a portion before returning to those arguments.
While I've used the "fix our own problems" first argument in the past, I've seen the largesse in which our "poor" live in when compared to even ministers of governments in some parts of the world.
I've seen the effects of children denied the possibility to learn to read for lack of a schoolhouse of mudbrick which costs a few hundred dollars.
NGO's are not the answer. Giving away food is not the answer. Teaching them to read and produce their own food is.

Lisa: Thank you.
Patricia: I've seen your answers before. I take your answer here as a considerable compliment. Adult debate is a good thing. We don't always have to agree.
No, there are no guarantees. And we've set a high bar for success but failure is easy to achieve. Despite what is portrayed in the media, we have seen some considerable successes and if you look at my "Hardened Warriors" series, you can see the generosity and kindness of our Soldiers and Marines.
Afghanistan is one of the fastest growing economy in Asia due to the same kinds of things we're doing in Iraq.

Dionannan: No, it's not spam. I gain neither acclaim nor financially from my blog. My only reward is the hope that the public will learn the truth and the unexpected reward of meeting some fantastic people on 360.
Thank you for your compliments and comments and yes, please come back to the blog as often as you like. Not all of my articles are great but I try to give a daily report on Iraq as well as background on the enemy from time to time.
And I have had the chance to through in some truly inspiring stories of the generosity of our Soldiers and Marines in my "Hardened Warriors" series. (#2 is an extraordinairy account, while the others are amazing.)
Sometimes I publish the works of others and sometimes I put my own work there. Hopefully you can enjoy most of it.
