Pergo will install in a modular or mobile home just as it would in any other home. There are instructions included with every box. The link to the article provided by 'papercut..' is a good, short article.

The only thing you really need to be concerned about with a modular (or mobile home) would be with double-wides, and the transition from one half of the home to the other. It is critical that the marriage line is level, and supported properly. I realize this is a kitchen and this particular problem is probably not at issue here. I have seen some homes where one of the bathrooms was across the marriage line, and even saw one installer that tried to blame a lumpy floor on the manufacturer... when the home was not leveled properly, hehehe. (Dealers set the homes up, not the manufacturers).

All manufacturers that I have ever worked with, require that the openings in a marriage wall be supported with blocks. These blocks along the centerline go to either side of any opening that is 40" or wider. They must be located within a couple of feet of the opening, but not actually under the opening. I will add that it is also important that these blocks be on concrete, or you're going to have problems with frost heave. Ive seen a lot of homes, that the marriage line blocks were NOT on concrete, and eventually became a problem.

Have Fun
