Your best and safest bet is to have someone do it for you that knows how to do it.

1) Check local papers or local Craigslist and find someone who will seal and zip it in.. that way if they break it they will replace it.

2) Or .. contact a glass shop and ask them their cost..

Bottom line here is its really easy to screw it up... then you get a broken or shattered glass or a leak (or two) when for $20 or $30 you could have avoided the problem.

I assume you are talking about the rear windscreen,First, clean out any residue left behind after you took out the old window.Take care not to damage the little pins that power the heater element. Now comes the fun part.Ideally, you need a special tool to fit the sealing rubber around the window.Costs about £30.Line up the window with the rubber in the car and gently ease the window in using the tool.If you don't have said rubber seal, then don't attempt the job.And don't listen to anyone who says that silicone mastic will work.It will hold it in,but it will corrode all the metal it comes in contact with. It's acidic!Realistically, you should get a professional windscreen fitter to do the job if you are uncertain. It may look easy, but trust me on this,it is a difficult task.Hope this helps.

Seriously, you should let a professional do this.
Glass has become an integral part of the vehicle's structure, acting as part of the "safety cage." If it's not properly installed, you compromise the integrity of the car in case of rollover.
Installing glass is not really a do-it-yourself project anymore.
I could walk you through it, step by step, but since you obviously don't have the tiniest idea of what you're doing, it would be irresponsible to tell you how.

black RTV Silicone will not leak, that is what holding the front window of my car.
as to how, cut the old one out with a sharp wire.
first remove any trim,
push a wire through the current glue, wrap something around the ends of the wire so you can pull really hard, and use the wire to cut the old one out.
it works well if you use something like a 20 gauge piano wire.

I have seen cutters for sale that have it really well set up, I just cant find one on the net right now.
