Yeah the Republicans are trying to score quick political points by voting together against any democrats bill trying to be passed no matter how beneficial or not the bill is.

Their goal is too make sure that congress has a low approval rating, since democrats is in control (and Republs dont get any blame). That way Bush doesnt look that much like a lame duck.

Yes... and no.

The Democratic majority is very small in the Senate and so it makes things a little hard to force through legislation when the Rebuplicans are being so partisan.

However, when the Republicans were in power, their majority was also small, yet, they always managed to force things through. The Dems need to start being tougher and more organized much the way the GOP was if they want to get things done.

No. they lied to you about how powerful they would be if you put them in the majority. They led you to believe that they would run the war their way. It is not our fault you don't understand the powers and responsibilities of the different branches of the Federal Government (Legislative, Judicial, Executive). Look at it this way, the President is there the be the checks and balances over an overreaching Congress and Senate. That's why he was given the power of the Veto.

That's why we have two parties, but the key is for both parties to give a little and compromise. I guess moderate politics wasn't a required course in law school.

Yes, that is exactly why its offer hard to try to pass a good resolution when it will always get vetoed and its either don't pay our troops and provide what they need or give in to all the presidents demands.

One thing you've got to admit about the Republican party--they're organized, and they know how to close ranks. I'm disappointed with them, too. But they have the right to vote however they wish, unless we eventually vote more of them out of office.

Blah blah blah......oh, and blah. You are not asking a question, you are making a political statement. Political statements are in the realm of possible answers to questions.
