Sorry... how much to fill up a regular (non-diesel) truck...

These are approximates but you can check what the fuel consumption is on the truck you hire.
Approximate fuel tank capacity on a 16' moving truck: 35 gal.
Approximate miles per fuel tank: approx. 350
Approximate Miles per gallon: approx. 10
You will travel 350 miles for every full tank of fuel
So, to go 1176 miles, you will need (1176/350=) 3.36 tanks of fuel.
That is: you will need to fill the tank 3 times and half fill it the 4th time to make your distance.
The cost will also depend on whether you need gas or diesel:
Gas at 2.72/gallon will cost you about $320
Diesel at 2.95/gallon will cost you about $350

Well you didn't say if it is empty or full and what the truck weights. Is it a gas or diesel truck. How big the engine is. It is really hard to say.
Also when you fill up what does it cost and after you fill it will the next place you fill it , will the gas price be the same.

Consider they get about 10 mpg at best. Divide 1176 by 10. You'll need 117.6 gallons of gas. Multiply that by whatever gas costs where you live and are driving to and it'll get you a number. Based on the national average of $2.80 It's $329.28

You will be lucky to get 8 miles to the gallon. is it a diesel? that could be a little cheaper. You can do the math. its going to be very expensive with the price of gas around 3.00.
