Not one of us is ever given the right to judge except perhaps those appointed in the courts of judiciary where our civil mistakes lie in the MERCY of their hands as well.
There's none of us who is perfectly unblemished. We do wrongs unconsciously or subconsciously.
I won't judge so I won't be judged either. I'd rather take into consideration the whole aspect of the situation and remind myself of what has happened to the other person may likewise happen to me someday;..And I may have reacted the same way as he did...Who knows? How would I feel then when all those accusing fingers are pointed on me? To whom would I run for pity and forgiveness? Wouldn't I be another judged and lost soul?
Far better and humane to give mercy and not judge because only The Sinless One above has the RIGHT to do so.

Pushes my buttons. Hmm. Let's say simply that I don't feel it's my province to "judge." No one can ever, ever totally understand another unless we were able to put ourselves 100% in their shoes. We can't. Judgment leads to speculation & assumptions & can be very hurtful.
Mercy? I'd rather use empathy, or at least an attempt to understand another. I wouldn't like to be judged. This in no way means I haven't "opinions" nor do I have the old---"I'll be taken advantage of if I'm opened minded." I'll get out of the line of fire, but this really has nothing to do with judgment about why there is fire; it's common sense. I can't think of a situation where my "buttons" were pushed.

I would like to think that I would show good judgment instead of mercy, but it would depend on the situation. One would usually not show mercy in a button pushing situation.

Hrmm... Fist mercy came to mind... I don't like when people judge, I don't think it's helpful when people act egoistically... On the other hand I won't be walked over, so I don't judge per se, but I know when I don't want something in my life... No point to judge, the way I see it, I'm not perfect either and it only can hurt their feelings...
I do give pointers though, as needed.

Mercy. It is difficult to judge when you understand the why behind the act. Now, with that said, it does not mean I continue to keep myself in the line of fire, it simply means I try not to judge any persons reality by what they do or say.

I guess to be honest Judgement first then as the event unfolds I might have mercy............but it totally depends on the circumstances and the person in question in the end the actions will always speak louder then the words.........
because words are empty promises to me unless acted upon :)))))

Depends on how spiritual I'm feeling that day.

I try and err on the merciful side. It's what I would want others to do for me.

mercy reminds me that I have judged you in a bad light for a response that I disagreed with. My apologies.

My first inclination is mercy, always giving the benefit of doubt, in other words " they know not what they do"
