or is their sexually liberated attitude more of a draw?

i always thought a woman as an intelligent thoughtful individual would be more important then her 'purity' for marraige.seems like such a superficial concern and liklihood is you won't have very great ecstatic sex with someone who is just 'pure'-seems kind of bland!!not that she should be a whore but you know!!

i suppose the term 'sexually liberated' is a kind of euphenism, what if a woman can only experience true sexual passion and ecstasy outside of a relationship when her imagination roams wild ?

It would really depend. In fact decisively favoring either seems somewhat shallow. It seems that many women who are "sexually liberated" are conforming just as much to social mores as the traditional virgins. Whether the values that you have internalized are relatively new or centuries old doesn't seem to be a very relevant difference.

I do not care whether she is a virgin or sexually liberated. In fact I personally find something attractive about both. What really matters is whether she is intelligent and an original thinker. Tying these qualities with high levels of sexual activity seems to be as shallow as tying them with "purity." Why should we think either way that sexuality is so indicative of her "deeper" qualities?

The answer to your question has it origins in the depths of history ~ and has to do with the 'Man knowing that the woman has not laid with other men and that any male child (hopefully) she gives birth to, will be the rightful inheritor of his lands and property' ~ and not some 'bastard' child ~ like the Cuckoo in the nest.

[ Just in case you do not know, the Cuckoo is bird which invades the nest of another species of bird, kicks out an egg of the clutch already there, and lays a replacement. The returning owner of the nest will then not realise what's happened and will; incubate the egg, feed the chick once it has hatched ....which ALWAYS is BIGGER than the parent and ….often as not, kicks another chick out of the nest on the way to its own adulthood ~ consuming the ration of the missing chick that the parents bring home. ]

A man (it was ALWAYS the man who could OWN property ~ by Law ~ remember, women were seen as 'unclean,' as a result of what Eve did to Adam in the Bible story) passed on his property to his Son (the son would always inherit over a sister) who would often marry the daughter of a landowning neighbour, because the two would form a bond (of 'marriage' and of the blood through a child produced) strengthen any agreement between to neighbours (families / Kingdoms) and provide security (of many kinds) for them both.

Remember also, although ’married’ to the husband, the wife was ‘the Property’ of the husband along with cattle, horse, sheep ~ as were his daughters. So there was always a ’value’ in their virginity too ~ to the father. This applies to a variety of cultures also.

If you look at the word ‘Marriage’ itself, you’ll see that it means MUCH more than just the Wedding Ceremony. It has a greater significance than ‘just that.’

'Virginity' in itself had a VALUE, for reasons here stated, and which in turn took on other 'Romantic' and Religious reasoning’s to over time.

NB: The use of the word ‘****’ by some answers here has seemingly much that is ‘Negative’ about it. Personally, I tend to look on it from the other, the Positive one, wherein it culminates with the tone ~ ’Oh my! What a glorious ****.’

Let us give more time and thought of binding relationship on mere faith, trust, honesty and love for one another, rather than wasting time on virginity. An educated will definitely have a good knowledge on sex and will not consider this as prime factor. More over since women are involved in more and more physical activities like Horse riding, cycling, athletics, etc there are hump teen number of chances the trend to go wrong due to these activities. But for uneducated and narrow minded people who do not want to accept reality and have very high respect for their rituals this will remain baffling question to answer.

Each has its upside.

The world is neither totally black or totally white, and human nature is typically a balance of many drives and values.

Women who admit they enjoy sex and act upon it are always looked on favourably by me.

"i always thought a woman as an intelligent thoughtful individual would be more important then her 'purity' for marraige"

Sexually liberated is just a politically correct term for "sIut."

If she was intelligent and thoughtful she'd already know that.

Edit: "... what if a woman can only experience true sexual passion and ecstasy outside of a relationship when her imagination roams wild ?"

Well, then she's a sIut.

Virgin? Isn't that a PLC?

I.E. open for purchase by all public on the stock exchange.

Virginity should be sacred, but it's just a commodity to be taken and worn like an honour badge, by delinquent morons these days.

I don't give a monkey's about anyone's virginity. It's their business, isn't it? Maybe I'm missing something, should I?

The most important thing is to keep the good while eliminating the bad. Equality is good, but so is femininity. I hope women keep part of that part of their personality that is unique and so helpful to our people.
