1. The Jena Six. Six black kids arrested for jumping a white kid. The black kids should be punished for what they did. But the racial tension stemed from the white kids placing nooses under a tree. Could have been avoided if the leaders in that community were more aggressive in punishing the kids that hung the nooses in the first place.
2. The black women in West Virginia. She was beatin, raped by males and females, forced to eat blood, hair was cut off all becuz she was black. Very little media coverage on this. The Mike Vick dogfighting incident recieved more media coverage. And those are dogs.
3. O J Simpson is in the news every hour on the hour. Whether he was guilty or not in the murder trial. Would the media still give OJ this much coverage if Nicole Simpson was black? I dont think so.

Racism exists in America. But the media would have you believe it only goes one way. Racism exists in both blacks and whites. Other races as well, but those are the most prevalent. 6 white people rape and beat 1 black person due to racial issues, it's a hate crime. 6 black people beat 1 white person, it's a miscarriage of justice. The truth? Both were hate crimes, and both should be prosecuted.

Another truth? The noose should have been able to be prosecuted, but unfortunately, it was apparently not possible. The D.A. couldn't find any law in Louisiana to charge them with. That should change, but even if it changes tomorrow, the white kids couldn't be charged with it. They can only be charged with something that was illegal at the time of the offense. (The Writ of Habeus Corpus.)

Hold on..6 black punks jumped a white kid and beat him up. The white kid that they jumped did not have anything to do with the nooses that were hung from the tree. If they catch the idiots that put the noose in the trees they probably will punish them, but they didnt physically try and kill someone.

I dont see yourpoint. In fact the rest of your tirade doesnt make any sense at all. The media gives OJ coverage because he was an athelete and celebrity. Before he killed his wife, he also had a career in movies. That has absolutely nothing to do with the color or race of his wife that he murdered.

You're just a wack job.

I never denied it in the first place. But let's not pretend that you or anyone else is fooling anybody here -- the white race does not hold the monopoly on racism. People of African or Hispanic descent can be (and often are) every bit as racist as their white counterparts, but somehow the fingers get pointed at whites much more often than they get pointed at the so-called "minority" groups. How come Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton never get called on the carpet for their obvious racist remarks? Does their skin color place them in some sort of protected class? No question that they think so. And those two are part of the problem -- instead of preaching understanding, cooperation, and togetherness they're preaching mistrust, hatred, and division.

BOTTOM LINE: We'll never be able to get rid of racism completely, but the first step toward getting out of the racism rut is to make racism socially unacceptable. The next step is to get people to grow up, get over themselves, and stop automatically assuming that racism is involved any time they don't get what they want or something "bad" happens to them.

racism does exsist and all races are effected equaly in different places. it seems you dont like white people. are people going to vote for obama because of his race or his political view. are women going to vote for hiliary clinton for herpoint of view or the fact that history can be changed . in the schools where more of one race exist your always going to have hate for the medium percent. i went five high schools and this was one i noticed.to a school where 80% were mexican 10 %white 2 % black and 8% other.the tension was always on the white. then i moved to where their were only 5 mexicans in the whole high school ( and what a surprise all were considered cool) and this one teacher told me he was told to write about me for the principle to see if the hispanics were struggling in reading homework or even english. he wasnt being rude just doing his job.it was the schoolboard. our spainsh teacher was white and it was hilarious i could make up words and still pass the tests.

In my entire life, I have never heard anyone deny that racism is alive and well and, practiced in the U.S.

Fortunately, there are a lot of Americans who do not practice racism, but for some, old habits are hard to break.

Racism will always be with us, too bad.

I have never tried to deny it exists, I know it does. But it's not only in this country, it's all over the world. There are many different races that do not get along and that do not like one another. Just look at all the gangs, and that should tell you.

There is racism in America among ALL races. Caucasians don't have a monopoly on it. Plenty of black people are racists too and there are a lot fewer white racists than you are probably willing to admit. Crime against anyone is terrible and these incidents you speak of are all horrible crimes.

i don't have an answer for you but i am tired of it too and like someone said its not just blacks that get racism. i at one time filed against a black person, i won but what did i win the aacp helped me, how is that for justice. i am white. so gather around and forget racism, it can be done. pray with all your heart and soul. i have good friends that are black, Asians, mexican, so why can't other people

Still deny it? No I cannot. I am 50 years old and I have never denied it. It is with us and it is tragic. I do find it interesting that racism is a multi faceted disease and is evidenced by almost every cultural group in our country, yet you only give examples of one facet, white versus black racism.

Are you stating that racism is only a problem in America? It's been a problem since the beginning of time, everywhere.

Sure, it's unfair, ugly, but certainly not only here.

So, what are you doing to help end it?
