I just had my first child at 39. No, I didn't feel too old to be pregnant. If you conceived naturally, you are certainly not too old to be pregnant. I suspect it's psychological because you have a 16 year old who looks grown to you. In my book, 35 is still a kid. Congratulations.

I started being a surrogate at 18 (3 times) and have 1 daughter now and 1 more on the way ..I'm now 28 I told my husband we would try again at 30-31 for a boy but after that no more cause each pregnancy is harder on my body, and the older I am the harder it is to cope with the tiredness, the pains, the aches etc. I don't think there is an age that is too old...but I'm calling it quits at 31 or 31 (depending on what month i get pregnant of course)

Good luck

35 is not old. If you were 50 plus I'd say that was too old but look at all the celebrities that are having their first child at the age of 40-45, some are even older! Don't be shocked, 35 is a perfect age to have a baby.

Age is nothing but mind over matter, If you don't mind it don't matter!

As long as you haven't gone through early menopause and ther is nothing else physically stopping you from becoming pregnant then I say go for it. If this is something you want. I have cousins that have been in their late 30's and early 40's that have had children and are great mothers. I think too that as you get older you get more patience and this always comes in handy.
Good Luck with what ever you decide.

Also you might want to talk to your daughter, she is old enough to give you an honest opinion and see how it would affect her. Don't go strictly by what she says, but do take her feelings into consideration.

Yes, you can be too old to be pregnant, although 35 isn't bad. I mean people in their late 40s and beyond thanks to fertility treatments. It's not fair on the mother or the child to be pregnant that old (some would say the mother is being selfish having a child that late).

The mother is not physically able to look after a child and the child loses out on not having an active parent.

Also, when women have children very late in life, they will die while the child is still very young, again robbing the child of their mother and leaving them to fend for themselves in a cruel world. Not a good idea. Good luck with your new baby.

You are definitely not too old! Im 24 and due today and I feel too young a lot of the time! But ultimately, if you are ABLE to get pregnant, than there ya go! You're definitely not too old. When shes graduating high school, youll be barely over 50, and that was the case with a lot of my friends. Congrats! And look on the bright side, with a 16 year old under your belt, you have an instant baby sitter!

I was 16 and my mom was 36 when my first brother was born. I was 19 my mom was 39 when my second brother was born. The only thing that might happen is that your daughter might get asked about HER baby, I had that happen a lot. I was pretty shocked both times my mom said she was pregnant even though they were planned and I new it could happen. Let her be involved if she wants to(go to appointments and ultrasounds). It will be a good experience for her, it was for me anyway. I don't think I appreciated it at the time but I do now that I have my own on the way.

You are not to old to be pregnant.

I think there comes an age where I can't understand why someone would get pregnant at their age, but I'm talking about late 50's/early 60's (its happend!)

35 is a perfectly acceptable age to have a baby. You had your first daughter at at young age (19?) and I think its precious that you are having another one :)

Don't worry - I dont' think the fact that you are 35 is the issue - I think you seem more concerned with the age gap.

When you go through "the change" of life, where your female body parts officially shut down for good, you can no longer have a baby. That usually happens between ages 50 and 60. 35 is definitely not to old to have a baby. No adays with women in careers, its actually quite commonplace. My mom had my brother when she was 34, and my older sister was ten at the time.

You can never be too old, but it all depends on how healthy you are, my mom had my little brother at age 39 and she is totally fine, but she did get very grumpy. You should just believe this prenancy as a thing that needed to happen, its destiny. Your daughter will get over it my sis was 18 when my mom was pregnant
