My usually normal flow period was especially light this month. Could I be pregnant?
My normal period flow is for about 5 days, 3-4 full (super) tampons a day. It's been this way for almost 10 years. This month however, it was only 3 days, and you only notice the flow when you wipe. ( a splash or two on the tampon, nothing in undies). I took a pregnancy test on the day that the spotting occured and it was neg. It stopped the day before yesterday (monday) so I took a test again yesterday and got a negative result! I took one again today and still NO! Could I still be pregnant? I'm so frustratingly tired of the BFNs! Please offer some rays of hope. All answers and personal experience welcome! Thanks in advance.

Could my weight have anything to do with it? I am a little overweight. Actually about 30 pounds overweight.

I feel for you. I have taken so many tests with a negative result that I can't even count them! I've been trying for 4 years! With 2 miscarriages.

Unfortunately, women's periods can be strange sometimes. You can have an "off" month and after 3 tests, and 3 negatives, you most likely are not pregnant.

I know how disappointed you are. Just remember, you can try again next month.

First of all it COULD be implantation bleeding (usually doesnt last 3 days but sounds like it otherwise). Implantation bleeding occurs about 11 days after the sucessful sex. So if you tested then it would still be to early to tell. My best advice is stop testing before you are late. You are only frustrating yourself and tearing yourself up. Wait till you are late and take the test then. It will be a lot less devistating if you only get 1 negative (or hopefully a positive) rather then 3 negatives and then a positive. I had very regular periods and i got what i thought was implantation bleeding and it turned out it was not and i was not pregnant then HOWEVER i was pregnant from that "period" that i didnt think was a period. so i am now 5 months pregnant.

And to answer your question yes weight can affect the chances of concieving. Try losing some weight often times that really does help with concieving. i would say try to lose atleast 10 lbs but aim for around 20. For every lb of excess weight you have it can decrease your likely hood. Now somepeople it doesnt affect but it can not hurt to try. Plus your baby will be healthier for it too. I really hope it all works out for you. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Maybe! I am in the same boat as you are! I am hoping to get prego as well and took a test and got a BFN on 12 dpo and then started spotting that day followed by two days of light period then it stopped today. I am so confused as I typically have fairly heavy, longer periods. Now I am starting to get my hopes up again. If I don't bleed at all today I will retest in the morning which will be 16 dpo (unless that truly was my period then I'd be back at cd 4 in my new cycle)... its so hard to tell!
I've heard some women experience heavier bleeding than just obvious spotting while pregnant! Good luck to both of us!

Yes! You are testing way too early. It was nearly a month after my period stopped before I found out I was pregnant with a hpt. If you really cant wait give it about two weeks and have the doctor do a blood test. If you are pregnant you need to give your body time to generate all those pregnancy hormones. Weight really shouldnt have anything to do with early testing results. Good luck and baby dust!!

You know every time I have a period it doesn't pan out that I am pregnant. I think when we are trying to conceive any sign feels like pregnancy. I know how bad you want this....because I want it too, but if you had any kind of bleeding it probably isn't a sign of pregnancy. I don't want to sound harsh...that's the last thing I would do, but we need to ban together to realize that we are NOT alone. I feel your pain and I wish that every woman who wants a baby would get a baby. I hope for a baby for the both of us. Good luck and God bless.

awww - sorry for the negatives! Relax!! I'd wait a week and test one more time. 30 pounds should not make a problem for you. If you've been ttc for 2 years, have you seen any specialists? They can do tests to tell you if your weight (or anything else like pcos) is causing the trouble.

Good luck to you!! Lots of babydust your way...
