I enjoy the soaps for daytime entertainment, but I was just wondering.. they male or female are always dressed as they are ready for a night on the town even if its in the middle of the day! I don't remember seeing them wear jeans, sweatshirts, or their hair out of place. Wouldn't this be boring if all you had to wear dress clothes all the time??
Give me my jeans and a sweatshirt!!!

It's because daytime has traditionally been all about letting the audience vicariously live these glamorous, extraordinary lives. It's about the everyday person's biggest fantasies; beautful people, beautiful clothes, intrigue.

Me too!! I only watch GH and AMC. And AMC particularly they Fusion gals always look like they are dressed for a cocktail party. Who in the real world wears that kind of getup to an office and in the middle of winter as well. Even when they are at home they aren't dressed very casually. Oh well, I guess if Mr. Right unexpectedly shows up at your door you need to be ready to go. LOL

Well. you must have also noticed that they don't act like normal people either. No body has that much drama in their lifes or wakes up looking like they've already spent an hour in Makeup.

No kidding, and even the "poor" characters are well dressed! And they have remarkably perfect teeth!

thats the beauty of soaps...they're supposed to be glamorous all the time...that's why you never see them go to the bathroom

i always wonder that myself... they really should try and make it a little more life like, i am a cosmetologist and i can't even get my hair to do those things on my own!
