Mine will only be a few weeks old, so we will be handing out candy at grandma's house.

I don't think so. My family doesn't really do Halloween (we are Jewish and have Purim) but if we are in the US (not really a holiday in Israel LOL) we give out candy when people come to the door. I enjoy seeing the mothers with their babies. Often I have seen the mothers give the candy they get to other kids that night. Once a mom with two really little babies (identical twins boys) came to the door on Halloween. There was no way those kids could have had candy but they were dressed like two peas in a pod (corny I know but it was fun) and everyone commented on it. The babies won't remember it but the mom will. As she left our door she gave the candy to some kids on the sidewalk. She was just having a nice Halloween showing off her new babies. I don't see anything wrong with it and I would say anyone who does needs to lighten up just a bit.
Have a memorable Halloween.

As long as the child can withstand going out on a cold night, any age is fine. I've seen people with children less than 9 months old, in a stroller, looking extra cute in their small costumes.
Go ahead and take a candy bag for the baby... tell everyone that you are testing all of the candy that is being given out, lol.
Have fun!

Depends 100% on the weather/climate. If you live in New England, like me, then Halloween is often 30-40 degrees farenheit, which is a bit too cold for a baby to be out in for several hours. But if you're in a more hospitable climate, then sure!!! Show that baby off!!!
By the way, there are often Halloween celebrations that are indoors. Check the web for events in your area. That way, the weather won't matter.

I don't know of an age limit as to how young you can be; I have only heard of some towns that have an age limit for teens. My wife took our son to a few houses of people we knew when he was just a couple weeks old. It was a warm Halloween, and she took him in her arms in just his diaper saying that he was masquerading as a baby. Of course, no treats for him, but Mom got some chocolate and had loads of fun showing off her baby.

If the child is unable to walk to the door itself, then why bother?
Obviously the baby wont be eating the candy.
You can still dress the baby up and go out, just as long as there are older kids,so you wont look odd going door to door trick ir treating for a baby.

I don't think so. My son is six weeks old, and he is going to be superman for halloween... LOL.... My boyfriend thinks it's silly, and I'm sure some people out there will too. I personally don't care what they think, but it would help if you had a niece, nephew, or a friend with a child that you could go with. I am going with my baby, my cousins baby, and her 7 year old daughter.

I dressed my son up while he grew to become into 2 weeks old and took him for a walk around the community. of direction i did no longer provide him candy or something. in case you like Halloween and attractive costumes then i do no longer think of 9 months is merely too youthful. merely be smart with regard to the candy element. She's particularly too youthful for that.

People love to see little babies dressed for the holidays and little pumpkins, angels, black cats, super heroes always make me weak at the knees. Please bring your baby out and if you feel funny help another mom watch her kids who are old enough to run. It is important that on Halloween there be loads of adults out with the kids to keep it a safe and fun night for all the kids. Good Luck!

Any age is a good age. They are so cute. I dress mine up, but I only take them and show them off to family. Once they can walk I take them out in the stroller. I did this with my son, who is now 3. And I will do it this year with my daughter who is 3 months. When we only had our son, after visiting family, we would go home and pass out candy, and take him to the door with us so the others could see him.

I think if you baby is under 2 months old it might be a bad idea to take them out in the cool weather. If you do make sure you dress the baby warm. I am taking my kids. My son is 4 and my daughter will be 11 months. He is going to be an army man (like his dad) my daughter is going to be Snow White.
