There is absolutely no life before birth man was created by God out from the dust of the earth. The bible states that, God formed man from the "dust of the ground" (Genesis 2:7). using pre existing matter but not other forms of life, such as marine or land mammals. Not until he had formed every organ and put it in place did he introduce the "breath of life" that made man a living person. There is no life after death, only a life after the resurrection.
The biblical representation of death as sleep clearly fits its nature, as the following comparisons demonstrate:
1. Those who sleep are unconscious "The dead know nothing" (Ecclesiastes 9:5)
2. In sleep conscious thinking ceases. "His breath goeth forth,...in that very day his thoughts perish" (Psalm 146:4)
3. Sleep brings an end to all the days activities "There is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going" (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
4. Sleep disassociates us from those who are awake, and from their activities. "Nevermore will they have a share in anything done under the sun" (Ecclesiastes9:6)
5. Normal sleep renders the emotion inactive "Their love. their hatred, and their envy have now perished" (verse 6)
6. In sleep men do not praise God" The dead do not praise the Lord" (Psalm 115:17)
7. Sleep presupposes an awakening. "The hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth" (John 5:28,29).

not a sole on earth can make you believe anything they want you too unless you open up to the idea that there may be more to this world than cut and dry black and white. Every religion has a goal for the followers of that religion, but in order to achieve the goal you must pay the price. The price being follow guidelines and rules set forth by men from way back in the day. I personally feel that the answer to this question is set within yourself. What will you do with the answer when you find it? will it be more benificial to you to have the answer? with the answer will you life suddenly change? Lets say you spend your whole life looking for this answer only to find that when life ends thats it nothing more. Then you have wasted the life you have been given. Will life continue to be what you make of it when you find the answer you seek. I think so. The only thing people should really concern themselves with is how to make the best of life while living it and the rest will take care of itself.

It can hardly mean life BEFORE birth, now can it? You have to be born first before you can die. As for what is life AFTER death, your guess is as good as anybody else's. People believe all sorts of different things, but personally, nobody I have ever known, who died, has yet slipped back here to say HI and tell me what it's like "over there".
I am always very curious about these "Psychics" who claim that the talk to the dead regularly. It seems a very odd thing to me that with all this "chatting with the dead" they claim they do, how come none of these dead people has ever given them an in-depth description of their "after-death" existence, to share with the rest of us who haven't died yet? I mean, you'd think they wouldn't mind giving us a few pointers so we'd know what to expect when it's our turn LOL.

The body dies but the soul lives forever. Where it lives is determined by the choice you make. The choice is to either accept God's gift,His Son, to pay the price for your sins or reject Him. The bible is very specific about it, Jesus said"I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no man comes to the Father except through me". Re salvation, "neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given to man whereby you must be saved" only through Christ. Christ said He is the giver of Eternal life. God is first interested what you do with Christ whom He sent then interested in your works. Your works cannot earn salvation, if they could then Christ would not have had to go to the Cross.

I like the Life before Birth idea..... my grandbaby girl used to stand at windows and stare off into space, early, like before she was one year old....like she was 'listening' for something..... then she'd smile... the most peaceful, happy smile.... we used to 'joke' that she was listening to the angels sing....
really, tho... if we're to believe in an afterlife, why NOT a pre-life?..... if it's all eternal, maybe it's infinite, too!!....
