To Beachanter:...The Swift Boat Veterasns served with Kerry. Thet were there, they knew first hand what went on in Viet Nam. But What do a bunch of Left Wing , computer geek's at Dot Org know about General Petraus? You can't know whatreal soldiers do while hiding out in Canada.

They actually voted on something? Did they have to take a vote that the ad existed? I mean really? What was it for anyway?
I guess we will hear more later but what results would this brilliant move create? More discord among Americans in a time of war? Any of them realize divide and conquer is the foundation of communism? Any history prof can teach you that.
Kerry I expect as with Hill. Kennedy has no more to lose, Reid?
All hot air to deceive a nation. And it is a Presidential season. Connect the dots. As if they have the years of service that Petraus has had? I am sick of these Monday morning quarterbacks wanting to blame the players on the field when they can do nothing in management to provide a game plan.
No solutions just complaints. All in a world where the bad guys are watching ever so carefully. DO they care? Hell no.
It is political manuvering. Clear and simple. Thank you.

Did the seante really have a vote on whether or not to support moveon.org?
Oh wait they kinda did.
Statement of Purpose: To express the sense of the Senate that General David H. Petraeus, Commanding General, Multi-National Force-Iraq, deserves the full support of the Senate and strongly condemn personal attacks on the honor and integrity of General Petraeus and all members of the United States Armed Forces.
Leave it to John Cornyn to propose an ammendment just to waste the time of the Senate.

I guess that I kinda expected a little more that this...The nickname of "the stormin Mormon" no longer fits Reid. It makes me sad, actually, that our governing body actually took the time to admonish a movement of people who are sick and tired of this stupid war that we were warned that we would never win, despite the valliant efforts of our troops, who serve their country honourably. All that I have to say is get a f'ing backbone you morons, and stand up for what you believe in your lives! BTW-to the *** who made the comment about all of us "liberals who don't know a thing about the war", get a grip pal! Take some time to talk to the GI's coming home from the "sand box", as Iraq is known. Life there sucks, and it is getting worse by the day. I have 2 brothers who are active duty, one who is going there in about 3 months, and another family member who spent 6 months in Afganistan(where we should have finished the job in the first place!)-nobody is painting even a hopefull picture, whatsoever. The IED's are getting more complex, and the partisan fighting is getting worse. Can we say "Iraq is arabic for Vietnam"? Reid et all-get a backbone, and bring our brothers and sisters home!

I'm not surprised.
Heidi,
What's wrong with Veterans telling someone they feel is unfit to be president to stop using their names and pictures in their campaign? Only 3 members of Kerry's unit supported him, the other 19 stated he was "unfit to be president of the United States." If you want to know what kind of person a man is, ask those who served with him.

What do we expect now that Moveon.org runs the party. This was one of the most despicable ads ever in political history and the democrats running for our highest office have no problem with it. Shows why the democrats must be defeated in 2008 for every office of leadership.
