I was going to say yes, but then I remembered House. If I was going to stop watching, I would at least have to House, Bones, and Heroes, somehow. Other than that I don't even watch TV. So I guess my answer is no I couldn't(wouldn't) go cold turkey if I didn't have to.

EDIT:Sorry, I didn't answer the whole question. Whithout it I would do the same things I do now: sleep, get on the computer, go outside, hangout with my friends, do stuff for school. I really don't watch a lot of TV now so it wouldn't change what I do.

I think that after a short time people would adjust to not having their TV's around. We obviously lived a long time without them and did just fine. I went for 2 years in college with only 3 channels on my TV. I thought I would die at first, but in the end I got used to it and it wasn't even a problem at all. Same thing for doing without.

With so much out there to do in this world and the TV shows not as good as the old days, you bet i can stop cold turkey!

Other forms of entertainment, from music, to books, to sporting events can keep you busy. Then of course there are personal hobbies, dining, travelling, and of course companionship with friends, families and loved ones.

Simply speaking, TV doesn't own me.

I could go cold turkey on the TV, as long as I had my computer.

Turn off the tv, listen to music and read a good book. I don't think I could turn off my computer.

I don't watch that much TV anymore anyway so I could get along without it. I do, however, watch DVDs. If you include them, it would be hard to do for a bit but I'd do it.

Yes, I would. For example, just last weekend our cable went out...Friday...and was fixed on Monday morning...I found myself out of the house more, I organized and read, read, read!
