I have worked in IT for over 20 years. For the past 8 years, I concentrated on tech writing. My skills as a technician are stale, but I have an NT4 MCSE, MCP, MCP+I, and CNE-Netware3. I can build and repair desktops. I have chaired fund-raising gigs and did a bangup job, if I do say so myself. Attendees said it was the best one of its kind they'd seen. I am also a Stephen Minister-trained listener, soloist at church, do public speaking, and gardening. So far, my problem seems to be partly age and gender, and I'm not sure what else.

This is not short term, but it is something that you can do in conjunction with your other programs and there are no costs to get the thing set up and ready to go.

If you are looking at a long term solution or possibly starting right now to raise money on an ongoing basis, you might consider a lady who has an organization called Together We Can Change the World, Inc. She designed a website to specifically deal with all sorts of fund raising activities for both school, community and Non-Profits.

And, in the process of helping others you can earn some really good income for your organization, yourself and your family.

Its very difficult to get work at home jobs that are legitimate. Some of the insurance companies like General American have people who process claims from home but it is pretty restrictive as to the amount of time you spend each day. Of course there is always ebay sales. Another age old job at home is day care. Hotels offer a service where people staying there can call local restaurants and have food delivered. There is a central number that takes these orders that uses work at home people to take the orders and call them into the restaurants. I dont have the St. Louis number but you can get it from a hotel. I would also suggest that you contact local small businesses and let them know of your skills and offer to do office services for them from your home. A lot depends on your skills, interests and qualifications.

Work at home and reliable are going to be a tough combination. I understand being out of work for a significant period. I would suggest using all the networking means you can. Monster, Craiglist, Community Bulletin Boards, The Newspaper & the State Employment Office. There may be something out there for you, but getting any job is always tough, when you start to add the restriction of stay at home (or any restriction) it becomes that much tougher.

There are many opportunities of working at home and earning through internet. If you wish to learn earning through internet while working at home, feel free to add me as your contact at yahoo answers and at 360 also. You will learn a lot. It is against yahoo answers guidelines to provide referral links here at YA. Most of the genuine earning opportunities on the net are free and they don't ask for any money to be paid for that.

At home jobs are difficult to find. Have you checked monster.com or craigslist.com? I would check the neighborhood boards in your local grocery stores. Could you list some of the qualifications that you have because that will determine where to look.
