so i keep getting this snot like stuff in my underwear. When I informed my doctor he said it was most likly my mucus plug. Im just wondering why am i losing only a little at a time. Shouldnt it come all at once? I know my doctor said that my cervix was ripen. Am I ready for labor soon

Mine came out in pieces as well... and mine also came out at about 34 weeks. I didn't deliver until 38 so, until your water breaks or you are contracting intensely... its not a sign of labor. Just that baby is getting ready to come out at some point!

The mucus plug can come out a little at a time or all at once. With my first it just came out and looked like a giant booger in my underwear but with my 2nd it came out a little bit at a time. With my first my mucus plug came out and within 4 days I had my son. With the second one I had a planned c-section so no good advice there.

you could go in to labor in 5 minutes, or 5 weeks. everyone is different. I lost my plug over 2 days, and had to be induced a week later.

Some people lose it all at once. Some people lose it a little at a time. And some people never even notice that they lost it. Don't worry about it, this is normal.

it can come out all at once, or it can come out slowly over a period of days.
