Obviously not. They know you have better things to do and will do anything in their power to see that you are happy. They're not about to lose anyone as important as you just because of some bureaucratic rules about training. Hell, for you they will forego all training requirements and offer you command. You're worth it.

I doubt it. That is kinda what's being called Lisa Nowak Syndrome. She wanted to be trained to do her job and only her job and was thought of by others astronaut as not a "team player".
.
She was up for a second trip into space this fall but was passed over for the mission because her fellow astronauts said that of her. That along with the failure of her relationship with the other astronaut she was screwing at the time Bill Oefelein, and uh, OH, and her husband behind who's back she had been screwing Oefelein for over two years led to her downfall.
.
So you see Terry you have to be a team player or you end up stuck of the I-10 in a pair of Huggies for 9 hours waiting to kill your boyfriends new mistress, stuff her in a plastic bag, and dump her in the swamp outside of Appolatchachoobie, Fla, and we wouldn't want that to happen to you.

Yes you would have to do ALL the training. It is a job requirement. If you have better things to do then you shouldn't be an astronaut anyway.

Don't worry. NASA has better things to waste money on than someone who is more concerned with flower patterns on their space suit than science.
