i've asked about tampons before for first time users. I got my period yesterday and I decided to play around with a tampon again, this time i got the applicator all the way in, but when i have to push the bottom i get nervous, just because i dont know where its going to go, not literally, but yeah. And im afraid when i have to take it out, if i ever get in.. when i do it will feel like i accomplished something important ! :]
So far ive messed around with two tampons, same kind, the first one i guess i wasnt relaxed enough, but the 2nd one worked and i used different positions.. do you think i should keep trying? or try one more time? 3rd times a charm right..

So i tried another time, i got it in, when i was sitting it felt fine but when i stand it felt weird, and then discomforting when i bent over or something, so i took it out..i can say it hurt worst removing it then putting it in, but thats because it was dry. but it was a relief after i got it out.. now i have a way how it feels sort of.. so next time maybe i wont have no worries =]
Thanks you guys.

Keep trying. Most women have to make several attempts before they get it in correctly. Don't panic. Just breathe, and keep at it. You will get it eventually.

First of all, relax your muscles! When you get nervous your muscles tense up making tampon insertion really difficult. Just make sure you're angling your tampon towards the small of your back. The vagina lies flat and horizontal to the ground when you're standing. Just push in the 'skinny tube' after you've inserted the applicater and you'll be fine. If you're still a little uncomfortable then practice when you have a heavy flow so it will fill up the tampon completely and will make removing the tampon a lot easier. Best of luck!

If you feel you need and want to keep on trying, then go ahead. I remember the first time I used one, I was so nervous that I put it in half way through, and it was a nightmare. I hurt the whole time. After that I decided I would not use them any more and stick to pads.
Latter on in life, I ended up learning how to use them, and put them correctly it made a huge difference.
Now, I still prefer to use pads, but when a go to the beach or something ...tampons are a MUST....
Good luck it takes a little practice but you`ll manage.

Yes, third time is the charm. Just make sure you are using a slim tampon. Push it in slowly then remove the applicator. You will have a little string hanging out and should not feel any discomfort. If you can feel it in there, go do something to get your mind off of it. If it is really bugging you, then it is in wrong (it only has one place to go but could be angled a little off which may cause some discomfort). Welcome to womanhood :o)

I wasted 6 tampons before i finally manged to do it right. I know you're nervous about it, i mean, everyone is at first...but once its done you'll think to yourself "whats all the fuss about?".
It just sits in your vagina, it doesn't enter your womb and couldn't even get into your womb, so there's no need to worry about where it'll wander off to!
And when its time to take out, it'll be fine, it doesn't hurt at all, 9 times out of 10 you don't even feel a thing.
Once you start using them, i'd figure out what size tampon suits your period best, that way it'll be less painful/frequent. If you have light periods and you use a super plus, it'll hurt, and if you're heavy and use a light one, you'll have to change them very frequently. So the first time you wear one, wear a pad and see how often you have to change it.

If you want to keep trying, go for it. There's no harm that can be done---it's an enclosed area, and nothing can get lost in there :)
But if you're not quite comfortable yet, it's okay to give it some time. You've tried a couple of times---wait until next time 'round if you're still a bit queasy about it.
Believe me, you'll have plenty of time to master the art of tampon-wearing. There's no hurry.

i grow to be a similar way as you. i grow to be TERRIFIED when I first tried making use of a tampon. that is incredibly no longer that extensive of a deal. that is rather uncomfortable before everything, yet no longer something you won't be able to handle. merely take deep breaths...and once you place it in, the two positioned one leg up on the rest room lol...or take a seat on the rest room, open your legs, and insert the tapon in the direction of your back. maximum females think of to push upward, yet once you seem on the instructions it is going to say to point in the direction of your back. that is definitely all you ought to renowned. keep on with the instructions...might take you a pair cases yet you will capture on.

keep trying! pads are nasty and you can sometimes see them under your pants. Also you can not go swimming with a pad on. ask a female Dr, to help you!

I wouldn't recommend if you are a virgin. If you aren't then try again, and try laying down... at least for the first time. You will relax more.
