First it's not an occupation. Second I was against going in because it was clear what would happen. Third as the situation is right now I feel it is important that we stay to assist the Iraqi government..............

Robert Gates was selected in the aftermath of Rumsfeld's departure. Unlike Rumsfeld, the Dems didn't come out in force to criticize Gates, so it's my opinion that he's a good pick for Bush. Bipartisan divisions cannot continue amongst our leadership if this war is to succeed.

It may very well all be true, Gates is a smart man but I doubt anyone wants to bear the brunt for securing Iraq. Since the Bush administration is composed of PEOPLE, I would expect their opinions to differ.

Look. If it came from the news media (any news media) you are only getting about 1/4 to 1/3 of the story, and any quotes you hear are almost 100% sure to have been taken out of context.

This is a fact that has been demonstrated time and time again.

Believe only about 1/2 of what you see, and none of what you are told by the reporter.

Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. It is Mr. Bush's opinion that counts. Gates does not run the country. I think the US military should stay in Iraq and keep fighting terrorists. It is not an occupation.

George W Bush is an island unto himself these days and more Republicans and White House figure heads will distance themselves from Bush to try and salvage the Republican party!

Yet they are spending a trillion dollars on it.

Why is George Bush still in office? That really puzzles me.
