A girl with 3 weeks to live. She doesn't tell anyone about it though. She tells her crush she likes him, and he doesn't feel the same way. She performs in a play, but she messes up her lines. She's really depressed but right before she dies says she is happy she is going to be with God, even though her last few weeks weren't that good. This will definitely stir up a lot of emotions.
Hope this helps!

Some emotional topics, that could happen to a charactor include:
Family/ Friends Death
They/someone has Cancer
Going through a Break Up
Caught an STD
They're a murderer
They've been raped
Their house burned down
War came to their country (make up a fake war, or a real one if you know details of one!)
They're on the titanic or in the twin towers when they burned
A hurricane ruined their town
Their parents just died
Their friend moved away
They're forced to move to another country
They got shot
They're deathly ill
They suddenly go blind/deaf from an accident
They accidentally killed a friend via their house burning down... and now they feel terrible
Their love died
Etc.
I hope one of these may help. For more ideas email me.

Write about an author who is writing a play for an acting class and cannot figure out what to write about.

this is the worst example of an inept acting teacher i have seen in a long time. actors don't write plays, they act plays, it is the teacher's job to find plays for them to act and them offer them suggestions for improvement.
playwriting is the most difficult kind of writing there is. Quick and easy solution: Find a children's story book or fairy tale and dramatize it. (what's so important about drama over comedy, laughter is emotional.)

Try to relate it to something you may have first or second knowledge in. For instance, death of a family member or death of a friend's family member. This will give you a proper insight to the emotion surrounding the event(s) you choose to write about.

a girl has great friends, and the ultimate boyfriend. her mom [or father] runs out/dies and her boyfriend cheats on her with the school slut, her friends stab her in the back and the main character gets caught up in drugs and cutting.
that would be an emotionally crazy thing
