Also, how many of you believe that that Jesus was a white anglo-saxon, John McCain had an Thai love-child, and Iraq was responsible for 9/11?
I'm just curious as to who buys into this crap... I got an email today basically saying not to vote for Obama because he's Muslim and wants to convert the US to Islam from the inside. You think people can't be any more braindead, but sometimes you are unpleasantly surprised.
He's Christian, btw. His father, who left him at age 2, was Muslim.

Disbelief - Why would he do that though. Islam wasn't smeared in this country until Islamic Radicals rammed planes into buildings. By this time he'd build a career on his name. He's probably somewhat proud of his name. I'm proud of my father's name...

I don't really care if Obama is a muslim, christian, buddhist, or anything. The fact is that Obama never used or mentioned anything about religion in his campaign speeches. It's very narrow-minded for any citizen to vote for a particular candidate simply because he is a Christian or a Jew, without really thinking whether the candidate is capable of resolving America's oustanding problems and issues in the first place.

This email, in one variation or another, has been circulating for months now as a pathetic attempt to scare potential voters from supporting Obama's campaign. Also, some are still perpetuating the lie that he attended a "madrassa" in Indonesia as a child.

I do not believe that Barrack Obama is a Muslim. He is a Christian. He attends a Christian Church in the Hyde Park area in Chicago. He is also a member of the church.
It is irrelevant the religion belief of his father. It is what the person believes in.

I thought he is or was a Muslim, or his parents were. At any rate, I don't care, Islam is a respectable religion. And I'm a conservative!

You'd think that with all the converts to Islam who change their names to Muhammed, he'd have the sense to change HIS name to something more... American.
[edit] Capt. Koyk... you think you're kidding about Clinton? How many 'suicides' took place during his administration? Hmmmmm??? The Clinton Mafia is alive and well.

Excellent question! There are some Republicans here who like to claim that he is Muslim and some of them have also made it a point to type his middle name (Hussein) in block capitals.

I don't care about his religious affiliation, his sexual persuasion, or his skin color. What I care about is his ability to lead this nation; end a costly, corrupt, illegal 'war';
unite all 'cons' and 'libs' into all-Americans; and end the multi-trillion-dollar mountain of debt Bush has put us in for the next four or five generations. If he can demonstrate viable plans for making all that happen, he gets my vote!
