No one will be able to fulfil all their desires. So mobody will be prepared to leave this world.
Everybody wants to go to heaven. But no body is willing to die.

I think having all my desires fulfilled would make it a lot harder to leave this world. Maybe that is what heaven is about, but I don't think that is the objective of the earthly existence. I think most people are ready to leave when they are too old, sick and pain ridden to continue living. I think it is a testament to a full life to wear your body out. We should all be living a life that makes us spiritually ready to leave this world at any moment, because that is always possible.

I will only be ready to leave this world after I have fulfilled all Christ's desires for me. I will only be ready to leave when I have fulfilled all the work he has given me to do. I will only be ready to leave when He can say to me as I arrive in Heaven "Well good thou good and faithful servant".
It's not about my desires, but Christ's desires.

I don't think any of us is really ready to leave this world. We were created with a desire to live. But we should make our lives really count by doing things that matter and have meaning. We can ask ourselves if next week were the last what would I do?

desires are not the point to my life, getting in touch with my desires is the point to my life.
you never know what the future has for you, why would I ever be ready to leave ?
