I would have to say "Running With Scissors". It was claimed to be the "funniest movie in a long time" by the back of the DVD case.
Frankly, all of the humor goes around a perverted therapist (with a "masturbatorium where he... yeah.), the main character's mom who's a lesbian, the main character's, a teenage boy, relations with another man, and two freakish daughters of the therapist.
Oh yeah, the main character attempts suicide and it shows a lovely hospital scene where he's throwing up everywhere as the personell are trying to stick a tube down his throat.
Terrible, terrible, terrible movie. The acting was good, the quality was wonderful, but the script STUNK MAJORLY.
A close second is The Squid and the Whale. Another "funniest movie of the year". Pah.

As a Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan, my experience with bad movies is vast. So you may not have heard of my choice of bad movie-- Manos: Hands of Fate.
Just to give you some perspective, Entertainment Weekly voted it the Worst Movie Ever Made, and I whole-heartedly agree!

probably harry potter films have been my worst experiences though cos i thought they would be so much better
