I don't know, I think its fun. Perhaps they think it is unprofessional and displaying a taunt to the other team and its fans. I am with you, let's lighten up a bit.

Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a value called "Good Sportsmanship", a principle that stated the game was the important thing, and it was "poor form" to celebrate your victory, or point scored, too effusively, in the opponents' faces. Owens' ( and others) "showboating" comes under the heading of "poor form". When people speak of the "coarsening" of society and the the "erosion" of values, this is just one of the thousands of examples.

There used to be nothing wrong with end zone celebration...remember the Icky Shuffle. BUT a few dudes went too far and turned it into disrespectful showboating, so the whole group suffered for the actions of a few. TO is just one of those guys......

Yes, it was absolutely absurd that they fined him 6,500 for doing that. They were just angry because he made a joke about the Patriots cheating by camera. It is an embarrassment to the NFL so they fined him to shut other players up about it.

Because you supposedly cant use props to celebrate and TO stated that the ball was viewed as a prop. Plus i dont think the commissioner liked him mocking the incident with the Patriots on TV. There was nothing wrong with it in my book, i cant wait to see what he does next.

I think Owens is a jerk, but I thought his bellichek parody was pretty funny.
