Ah what a sweet tool (TOY) that might be? Laser operated; remote perhaps? Voice activated even? Automatic stop settings for specific depths. I'd buy one. :)

No such thing... That I know of. Not in a DIY sense at least.

Perhaps in more detail you might share what you mean by automatic.

an automatic drill is a type of tool that is use to create holes.

automatic it may be battery operated or AC operated.

may be its an electric drill!
or
maybe the an automatic release chuck! its an electric drill that disengages the chuck/ clutch when the screw/ bit gets too tight. this advantage means your hand would not twist when the bit get stock-up.
