Yes Zionism is NOT Judaism. Zionism is a belief that Israel belongs to the Jews. It is a belief shared among many Jews and Christians so therefore Zionism is not Judaism.

However, you will be attacked for being Anti-semitic if you are not for Israel. Though Israel is a Zionist creation not purely Judaic it is still considered to be a homeland (god-given) to the Jews. The Irony in all this, is that the policy towards the Palestinian population, has many similarities (concentration camps, 666 on cars who are owned by Palestinian, supress rights...etc) to what Hitler did the Jews back in World War 2.

Judism is an anicent religion; zionism is a fairly recent, in historical terms, fanatical political movement. And yes, you can definitely be anti-zoinist, and not be anti-semitic.

The Jews have no more 'divine right' to Palestine than Native Americans have to North America. And if they did, terrorist activities are not sanctioned by God. If the Jews want to live in peace then they should extend the same courtesy to the Palestinians.

Judiasm is the religion, Zionism is being pro-Israel (supporting it, wanting to make alliyah, etc). You could be anti-Zionist and not anti-Semetic. A lot of religious Jews in America do not support the Israeli government, and they would not consider themselves at all anti-Semetic

It depends on whether you deny the Jews the right to self-determination IN GENERAL or whether you merely oppose the present geographical location of Israel. Alas, the idea that Jews may not have their own country because ... because ... because they are Jews and therefore less important/deserving/human than others -- that idea is fundamentally biased and indefensible. If you apply the same standards to Jews and Israelis as to everyone else, then you are not anti-semitic; if you single them out, you are.

EDITED to those who thumbed me down: Just so you know, even Dr. Mengele always denied being an anti-Semite. He sincerely believed that Jews should be respected for their role as fodder for his "medical" experiments.

Yes and yes. Zionism is support for the creation and holding of the Jewish homeland, in Israel. Judaism is a religion. In fact, many Jews are anti-Zionist, saying that making our homeland in Israel is garnering a lot of hatred and does us no good. I am Jewish myself, and am supportive of Israel, yet these claims are perfectly understandable since Israel has almost constantly been at war since its creation.

You can be whatever you want. You can march with the radical muslims and skinheads against Israel too if that's what floats yer boat.

Yes. Zionists are a radical sect of Judaism that wants to rebuild the temple in Jeruselam and bring back the old days of animal sacrafice.

Why the obsession with this "zionist" garbage anyway?

What's it to you?

Does it help your life by any stretch to be concerned with "zionists?"
