wall sits
squats
sit w/ your legs appart and straight. reach your hands as close to your right foot as you can. then lift your right heel/foot about 8-12 inches offthe floor about 50 times. then repeat on the left. and then put your hands as far forward inbetween each leg as you can and lift both heels/feet simotaniously. and do the middle about 50 times. you hafta keep your hands far in front, otherwise they do nothing.
lay on your back. extend your feet straight up to the ceiling. slowly lower your right leg to an inch or so off the ground and DONT let your heel touch the ground. bring it back up, do it again on the left, and then again with both feet at the same time. HEELS NEVER TOUCH!

thighs are secondary in improving your vertical leap, calves are the primary. running hills can and will make your legs stronger, calf raises, with and without weights. and a little prayer before bedtime =)
