acetone, methyl alcohol, or ethyl alcohol

Acetone is more volatile than ethyl or methyl alcohol, because the alcohols are associated liquids. This means that the highly electronegative O atoms have slight negative charges, and less electronegative H atoms have slight positive charges. Thus the plus atom of one molecule is attracted to the minus atom of another and vice versa. This is called hydrogen bonding. Acetone is (CH3)2C=O and has no -O-H group to undergo hydrogen bonding.
