Methyl alcohol is volatile, flammable, poisonous, and toxic.

n-Amyl alcohol is volatile, flammable, poisonous, and toxic.

Salicylic acid is aromatic, irritant, poisonous and toxic.

Always remember that as Paracelsus said, poison is in the dose. Salicylic acid is used by itself and as its derivative aspirin as a medicine. But too much of anything can be toxic.
