Written test:
- Stay calm,
- most questions are easily answered just by logic,
- If you've studied the night before, then it would not be a problem..

Road test:
- Relax and stay calm for the duration of the test.
- don't mind the examiner.
- Focus on what you SHOULD be doing before, during, and after driving.
- Don't over do things also..That's why, stay calm..

If you have to take a written test, ask for a study guide booklet and study it. I've heard many adults, who have been driving for years, say that the written test is now more difficult than in years past. Get your study guide and use it. Good luck!

Edit: My husband had to re-take the written portion of the test in his mid-40s. He failed the test the first time. The DMV lady gave him the study guide, and an appt. to come back in 2 weeks. He barely passed the test the 2nd time, after studying the book.

Written Test: Know your sign colors and what the signs mean. Know speed limits and how far to park away from things (ie railroad tracks and fire hydrants).
Road Test: Be very calm. Listen carefully. Pretend it's your mom or dad sitting in the passenger seat. You'll do fine!

If you are nervous, go to your doctor and get a mild tranquilliser for just before the test. I failed twice in the 80s (pure nerves) and the third time, took the little pill from the doc and sailed through the dreaded driving test.

Have confidence in yourself, I am a good driver but failed my test twice because confidence let me down. I guess the examiner felt uneasy being driven around by someone holding their breath and gripping the wheel way too tight lol
