School helps with basic social skills but even thats not enough if children arent involved in like a sport or a group or something it seems. I think its up to parents to give them a safe, non judgemental, respectful, diplomatic way of how to look at things (i.e. ppl, situations). So no not school, most ppl learn those thing from their home life or close friends.

You may learn the lessons in school, but you're not graded on them.
Dealing with people, multi-tasking, handling stress, time management, etc....it all comes in handy later.
Experience is a hard teacher. It tests you first, and teaches you after.

Yes. Schools do not provide the wisdom that comes with the years.
In our society the elders should guide the young, alas, it is not so. We lock them away in "nursing homes". We could be a much wiser people with their guidance.
