It's amazing what overextending yourself economically for half a century will do to a country, eh? We're pretty happy about it up here, even if it means a likely jump in inflation. Many of us will buy our next car from the US, where prices are much cheaper and where the dollar difference is now nonexistent.

I'm not really surprised to see this, especially given our resources. I happen to live in the heart of oilsands country, and it's amazing to see how much oil/money they're pulling out of the ground up here every day. As long as other countries keep needing our oil, we should be continue this economic improvement.

I don't hear many jokes about the value of the Cannuck Buck, but I hear people make fun of it as Monopoly Money. Hey I've got nothing against Canada, I dig hockey, the Blue Jays are my baseball team, I enjoy maple syrup and own the movie "Strange Brew."
My only digs against our friends from the North are that they have terrible beer and just "aboot" all of their women are ugly.
But seriously, the US economy is inches away from a 30's style collapse, and we'll drag the Canadian economy down with us. Are the Maple Leafs looking for somebody in marketing? Or maybe I should move up there and be a sled dog salesman...
