Oh baloney - the next guy in uniform that contradicts them, and they'll be at them with claws and fangs and purple heart band-aids all over again.
It's just like waving a flag for these people - no real respect for the thing itself, they just like to parade it around.

It really seems like alot of conservatives love the idea of war, but are afraid to take part in it themselves -- i.e. they "have other priorities", and they admire people who actually have courage.

No, they are *not* gods, but it *is* thanks to *their* sacrifices that we have our rights.
I have the utmost respect for our military, but I'm biased. My family has fought in just about every single war this nation has ever been in.
