I personally feel that the NYPD is absolutely correct in saying NO and not just for security reasons. First, he's probably be honoring the hijackers instead of the people that they murdered. Second, his criminal regeim in Iran has been supplying the weapons, training and operatives that have been killing our Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Third, he and his criminal government have been supporting and funding both Hamas and Hezbollah. Fourth, this crumb has stated that the Holocaust didn't happen, that it was somehow faked. Fifth, he was one of the leaders in the takeover at the American Embassy in Tehran after that idiot Carter helped depose the Shah and let the Ayatollah take over.

Yes, just as long as Dick Cheney is there with a shot gun.

I can see both sides. First, as have many things dealing with Iran, the evidence of Iranian involvement in Iraq has been propagandized and distorted, not to mention the fact that we are funding terrorist insurgent groups inside Iran (Al Qaeda linked cells to boot) who have committed several atrocities, including the bombing of buses. For years we have funded and armed insurgents throughout the world to kill those who are unfriendly to our interests, including untold numbers of innocents. How is what Iran is allegedly doing any different? Iran was not involved in 9/11, which is more than we can say for our pals Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Would there be this major uproar if some Saudi prince wanted to do the same? I doubt it. On the other hand, he is a giant ******, so I can definitely see both sides.

Wasn't much of a Romney fan, but after hearing what he said about Ahmadenijad's planned visit, I must salute him.

Wish other American political officials would speak out about this upcoming outrage.

Mahmoud shouldn't have been permitted in the US last year and I see no reason for it now. And the logic that his visit is about the U.N. is pathetic.

The U.N.? The same governing body that denounces Israel for defending itself while agreeing that suicide bombers are a legitimate action?

I know it's in vogue for American Lefty to deny Iran's involvement in worldwide terrorism, but AL is almost as dangerous as the murderers themselves.

How about we just send Noam Chomsky and Kieth Olbermann (maybe Gore Vidal if he's still alive) to Venezuela so they can pay homage to Mahmoud and Chavez?

I'm sickened by the whole affair.

I agree with you totally.

And I would just add: Ahmadinijhad repeatedly threatens to destroy Israel. Only the other night I saw him being interviewed by a British journalist and he was again insisting, smiling all the while, that the Jewish state 'must cease to exist'.

Ahmadinijhad is no friend of America, that's for sure. His regime supports and funds terrorism. I hope he's not allowed to set a foot on American soil.

I was so pissed when I heard that he even had the audacity to request such a thing. That's like wanting to go to Germany and place a wreath at Auschwitz. This man shouldn't even be allowed on US soil. Either that, or arrested and sent to Gitmo as soon as he sets foot outside of JFK.

Yes, he should be allowed to lay a wreath. Since when does the Unites States mandate whom should mourn who? Frankly, not letting a man lay a wreath to mourn thousands of dead people sounds like something Iran would do.

You are absolutely RIGHT!!!....I can't even imagine him being allowed into this country let along being allowed to go and "gloat" over United States sacred ground!!!...WHAT A TRAVESTY!!!!!!!..This punk should be arrested as soon as he steps foot on American soil ...he is a criminal, responsible for the deaths of many of our military by sending arms and men into Iraq to KILL AMERICANS!!!...WHAT IN THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE???....I think everyone involved in allowing this demon into this country should be brought up on charges of aiding a criminal...and I don't care WHO it is!!!

No, no, and HELL no.

I think it would be like spitting on the graves of the victims. He would be there to pay his "respects" to the murderers, *not* the victims. Add that to the fact that Iran has been a sponsor of terrorism for years, AND the fact that Iran is meddling in Iraq, killing AMERICANS.....

HELL NO. If it was up to me, he wouldn't be allowed to set foot on our soil.

I would agree from the prespective how Iran is encouraging and permitting Islamic "morality police" acting as thugs.
