You can't. That's why it's "non-refundable". The college has already committed staff to teach the course and cannot possibly give you your money back. Next time think before you dive into something you're not prepared to stick with.

well... u paid for the course in the first place didn't u? if u have a really good reason as to why u are leaving such as illness then they may be understanding but otherwise if u just changed your mind then its their way of seeing that they could have had another student in your place but can't now. Unless u can prove that u are either going to come back another year for the course they may deduct deposit next time. Or that they have done something against their contract to make u want to leave...u have no chance and just have to think in the future before u put a deposit down for something because unless u have a really good valid reason or/and are coming back they will not refud a deposit! Also read the fine print and contract to see if there is anything which u maybe be able to claim for your money back.

The clue is there - non-refundable, there are no circumstances at all to merit a refund, hence the name. If they gave you it back, it wouldn't be non-refundable, would it? Plus if they did it for you, they would have to do it for everyone else then where would they be?
Why not bite the bullet and stick with your course?

Erm, I think you answered your own question.
The Deposit is as you say yourself "NON REFUNDABLE"
that means you CANNOT GET IT BACK, it's gone
The only way you would have a chance is to prove that THEY failed to provide something they are contractually abliged to do.
Assuming lectures are running, that will be difficult.
