It's all in the details.
Basic strategies are:
Keep track of their version of the story. If they are lying, they will eventually slip up and change the details.
Be knowledgeable on the subject they are "lying" about. The more you know of that subject, the less likely they will have a convincing story.
Verify Information. If they claim they were at so and so place, verify it with the other person, look for receipts.

Tie a long piece of string to a stick, then use it to prop up a box.
Put something the "liar" likes under the box and when she gets close to look at it , pull on the string.

By letting them lie. Don't question them at first and just let it go for a while. Because you didn't prod them for answers they will forget the importance to remember the lie. Then when you think their guard is down you ask your questions and watch them fumble. Honesty with come out quickly, but lies will take a while to be re-created AND will be incomplete answers. Most importantly the way the person is acting with change. If you know them well enough it will be easier to spot.

To have concrete proof? It can be expensive, time consuming, energy consuming and in the end when you do get your proof, damning for your relationship and personal view of that person. Better to not KNOW for sure they are lying and simply lay it on the line "Either you make me feel more secure, or I will find someone who will."
Otherwise, you're just playing into their game "catch me if you can!"

disprove things that he tells you are facts (things that you feel he's lying about). Sometimes it can be proven that certain things could not have happened the way someone says that they happened. Just make sure you clearly understand what he's saying before you act or you may make yourself look dum and put him on the defensive and make him more careful to cover his tracks.

Very Very simple......
Just look at their eyeballs......
They can never see your eye ball when they are lying .... this is the truth.
If still they are stiff you would see one part of their body releasing that guilty feeling within them.(ie., fingers of hand or leg would shake or move.
WHEN THEY ARE TELLING A LIE THEY WILL ALWAYS LOOK AT SOMEONE ELSE AND TALK TO YOU

If you think they're lying, they probably are. So don't waste your energy trying to catch them, because you already know the truth
