Wasn't he just disgraced in the Rutgers Rape case? Haven't we proven so many times he is a total racist and not to be trusted? Don't you think it odd the marchers wouldn't choose a spokesperson with any credibility?

He was marginalize long before that with the Tawana Brawley case. A fictional account of a racial attack. In Al's defense I must say he has become a much more eloquent speaker

The march in Jena isn't organized by any one group of people, it's many groups of individuals coming together to protest a single incident.

Also, even if it was organized by a single group or organization, not everyone shares your opinion of Sharpton. He still has a voice in the community, despite the fact that you don't seem to like him, and no one would deny him the opportunity to speak at an event like that, simply because of his past.
