When I ride a horse I am more interested in a gentle animal than one I have to struggle for control over (I usually win and I am often offered spirited animals). That is not why I ride--to wrest control. I usually ride as with the company of an old friend. When I pick out a horse myself, I look first among those horses that look at me, and sometimes come to me on their own. It is sometimes fascinating that I've been told a horse was feisty, but it wasn't when I rode it.

I've been twice married. In both cases, I had a 'low-key girl'. In both cases, they became strong in their own rights and few who knew them later would have categorized them as 'low-key'. Girls are girls, what they become is something I can influence, but it is still up to them, whether 'low-key' or not. There is this old song where the guy describes his girl in the most unflattering of terms of vicousness and conniving like liar and thief but keeps coming back to the line, "but she's always a woman to me."

When I look(ed) I look first for 'low-key girls' but I also know that if I am going to ride along with them, whether 'free rein' or tight, she is a person who can be much more than she seems.

I love low-key women. They seem to know themselves better and don't try to be something they are not. It makes for a better relationship, just as long as she has the ability to kick it up a notch every once in a while too. Rather have a low-key that can sometimes be high-key then a High-key that could never lower herself to be low-key. Less stress in the relationship.

It is nice to meet a girl who doesn't feel the need to plaster on make-up every day and is comfy with her hair in a pony-tail.
