There's no excuse for that. You should know better. Sooner or later, your boss will NOT take anymore excuses from you. They can tell when tardies & absences start becoming a pattern. You will end up putting your job in jeopardy. Try waking up earlier to avoid being late or if you need to take a day off, notify your manager at least a week or 2 in advance. Be more responsible.

we can't do that where I work.if we are absent we must have a doctors note or we will be written up and fired.same with being late I've seen so many people get fired for that.

late to work....be honest...tell em, you are tired of coming in that hell hole, and that they should be thankful that you are even coming in to work...better late than never.
absentee....if you got a child, use that as an excuse..say your child is sick....that usually works..it seems that most employers are sympathetic towards that. too many ppl i work with use that to death....it wouldnt work for me since i dont have any kids, and they know.

My advice. Someone died. A relative of a close friend. It's not very moral, but it should get you out of trouble.
