A very long time. Beer (decent beer, not American domestic) has a ton of the nutrients you need to stay alive. Easily 2 weeks minimum w/o even noticing a difference. Monks brew stout beers so they can fast for 30 days at a time, so any decently rich beer should sustain you, while the cigarettes decrease your appetite. The coffee will just keep you awake and seems like an annoyance to me, but this is your game, play it how you want.

You wouldn't die, but you would be very unhealthy. Germans view beer as "liquid bread." Does the coffee have cream and sugar?

What does it matter? Read about the Nazi siege of Leningrad if you really want to know just how long a person can go without nourishment. Sadly, most Americans don't know about the siege of Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) and that the survivors were literally given one or two pieces of hard, rock candy during the onerous final weeks before Lake Lagoda froze and supplies could trickle in.

I'm sure the Russians cringe at this, but there are reports that cannibalism broke out among the desperate inhabitants and there were literally no births recorded in a city of millions for months, as no one had the strength or energy to procreate.

So, the next time you fantasize about living on an unwholesome diet, think about what I described above, lest you tempt fate.

For your beer switch to Guiness. A gallon a day should provide all the calories and minerals you need. It will also make the rest the tedium easier to live with.

For your coffee switch to a de-caffinated brand at least part of the time.

Take a multi vitamin pill every day as these will be lacking.

Now sit back and wait to see how long it takes the cigarettes to kill you.

Keep us informed.

I saw a guy on tv drink comsume nothing but guiness and water for a week. He survived but said he felt like crap. The coffee and nicotine may extend that another week, but you are sure to feel pretty crappy. You survive longer on a heavier beer which has more carbs. But eventually you would need protein.

LOL. You'll look like an anorexic but you can do it for quite a while. I lived on smokes and Mt. Dew while working night shift at a supermarket. I had a 30" waist and weighed 130lbs.

Now I'm a lazy Federal employee with a 36" waist and weigh 183lbs. Don't smoke no more though but did start drinkin beer. LOL. Go figure that one out.

Longer than you would like. Make sure the beer is not of the lite variety. Make sure your coffee is sweetened with sugar, at least sometimes. Limit your cigarette smoking as much as possible.

We have friends, one of whom did just as you suggest. In just a few short years, he ended up weighing less than 100 lbs (he's 6' tall), in the hospital in intensive care, and now he is in a nursing home unable to walk or care for himself. He has a feeding tube into his stomach, has to have a catheter, and wears adult diapers.

BTW: beer is food. The only difference between bread (grain, yeast, sugar, water) and beer (grain, yeast, sugar, water) is that bread is baked. But a steady diet of beer alone will get you in big trouble.

Are you planning on eating the cigarettes or smoking them?

I think you could make it a few months. You would feel horrible and you would be pretty sick. But people have survived on less.

The law of threes

3 minutes without air
3 days without water
3 months without food

Beer has some nutrition, mostly carbs, so you wouldn't starve. So, you might last as long as six months, but it would be a really unpleasant existence. You would start to develop vitamin deficiency related illnesses (such as scurvy). Your hair and teeth would be falling out, your bones would be brittle, your muscles would be atrophied, and your brain chemistry would be so 'off' that you would be considered insane.

As long as it would take for you to get a big beer belly, teeth fall out from all the coffee, then last but not least cancer from the cigs.......
