Can't you just imagine the uproar if something were to happen during the Super Bowl. With all the millions of people around the world watching. There would be a mass uprising and condemnation against the terrorist and woe to any country harboring them.

Sports fans would unite like never before, regardless of political party, and drive the terrorists out. Life without sports is unimaginable!

Depends on the nature and severity of the attack. If you wipe out a stadium with 70,000 people, the result would be pretty severe. It would depend how the attack was done too.
Your professor's question has too many variables.

Whatever ethnicity the group perpetrating the terrorist acts belonged to would suffer a violent reprisal as a result.

You can attack our economy, you can attack our government installations, but if you fukc with our football, we'll kill you.

They already did. Don't you remember when the Palestinians bombed the Olympics and killed all of those Israeli athletes? It didn't slow down anything but then it wasn't Americans they murdered.
