I think a lot of the folks around me....they know how to *Not Think*. Meaning, they know how to turn their critical, thinking minds *off* just enough so that the world around them, this society they made, can *Exploit and Use* the living piss out of them without damaging them.

Honestly. I can't figure out any other way around this one: How *do* people work so hard for so little money in workplaces that are clearly so hostile and outright nasty to their emotional well-being? Surely I'm not the *only one* who knows that Yelling at People Makes the Work Force Go Around. I can't be the only one who realizes that these days people just get paid *peanuts*--minimum wage, maybe a tiny bit better--to work wonders, poo cucumbers, and then *never* be given any credit as Managers Bark More Orders.

And well....what are the alternatives, the other answers?

Just saying that People Are Stupid, is insulting...even if it makes the pain go away for a while. ^_^

Likewise, saying that People Are Masochists, or Butt-Kissers, is also rather mean and leaves the question open: Ok then, so are Managers and Their Bosses *even human* then?

So yeah....I have to assume that everyone else--or at least a lot of them--learned early on to *Suck It Up* to a degree that I can't even fathom....they learned to turn their minds *off* temporarily, to protect their egos from a world that by all reasonable measures seems *out to* drive them nuts.

It disturbs me. We're not supposed to be sheep here. We're not supposed to be oxen pulling the plow because some remote Plantation Massuh--your Managers and the CEO One Percenters who *hire them*--says so.

But what can you do? -_- It makes the world go around, if in a hostile, horrifying, jack-booted dictatorial fashion.

This whole "Do what you're told to do when you're told to do it" business is pushed rather hard around here, for a "free country". It makes me sick of the world, sad for my people.
