i have a new ipod and i dont know the bestway to make sure i get the most battery life. Do i use up the charge on the ipod it came with and deplete it fully then charge, or do i charge even though it still has half left? (its an ipod 80gb classic btw)

Any unit that comes with a rechargeable battery should be charged before even using it. Go by the instructions in the owners manual re the battery.
