That is entirely up to company policy. Paydates aren't legislated.

in most states - you have to actually wait two weeks past your pay date to even make a claim - but you can easily check your company policy in handbooks or call dept of labor - but i would say no - they dont have to - if your comapny is open on saturdays there is no real reason that you should be paid any other day than the 22nd - even if it falls on a sunday - whter or not you can get your check cashed due to holidays and such is not company responsibility - but in most cases if a company will not be open and there is no way to obtain your check ( i dont mean you wont have a ride ) they usually send them early and you receive them the day before in some cases the day after -

In the absence of a company policy stating otherwise, no they do not.

In fact to make a claim for unpaid wages where I live (Manitoba, Canada) you have to wait 30 days until the time the $$ was due to you to file a complaint. Other places may vary some, but I don't think it would be the same day.

I've seen in handled a number of ways, most times they do give the paychecks on Friday. However I worked for a company that had the policy if pay fell on Sat you got paid on Fri. if it fell on Sun. you got paid on Mon.

Like everyone said before check your company's policy.

I always get paid on the 1st and the 16th. If those dates fall on a Saturday or a Sunday, we always get our checks on Friday. I don't know if it's "legally" required or not, but that's the way we get paid.

If you aren't in a union, your employer decides when to pay you. There isn't a law that says you must be paid on a certain date every month.

it depends with your company on what their policy is... if my payday is on sat my company has an agreement with the bank to only put in my account early morning on saturday... if its sunday then they put it in on sat still.. some companies only give out the money mon-fri so if it falls on a weekend they either give it to you on fri or on monday

no, they don't have to, but some do. I would think they would do so because it would be polite to do so. I have had some, hold it over till Monday.
